Is Divine Health Real ?

Is Divine Health Real ?

Divine Health is a benefit of the New Covenant. There are many Scriptures in which God makes it clear that He wants His children in Divine Health. We can Pro-Long our Days or Shorten our Days it is up to us. According to the U.S. Census the average life expectancy is anywhere between ages 65 to 79 depending upon if you are a male or female and how you take care of your health.Centurions are people who live 100 years or more. In this Post we will see some of the promises that God has in His Word for our Divine Health !

In Genesis 6:3 it says: “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh, yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” God promises us 120 years if we will live according to His precepts and principles.God expects all of his children to be Centurions.

Exodus 20:12 says: Honor your father and mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you. So honoring our Parents comes with a promise of long life.

Deuteronomy 5:33 says: You shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess. This Scripture based upon you walking in God’s ways you can prolong your days.

Deuteronomy 11:1 & 21 says: If we love God and keep His ways we can “multiply our days”.

Deuteronomy 30:19 says: God has set before us life and death, blessing and cursing, choose life that both we and our descendants may live.

First Chronicles 29:28 says: David died in a good old age, full of days and riches and honor.

Job 5:26 says: we should come to our grave at a full age. Job lived to be 140 years old.

Psalms Chapter 90 is a prayer of Moses. We know Moses was the leader of Israel and that many times the children of Israel were disobedient and because of their disobedience Moses would pray to God on their behalf and he is saying that many of the children of Israel were dying between the ages of 70-80. This is not God’s will because He promised us 120 years in the book Genesis if we are obedient to His ways and laws.

Psalms 91:16 says: with long life He will satisfy us. So, if you do not want to live until you are 120 years old well live until you are satisfied.

Proverbs 3:1-2 says if we will not forget God’s laws but keep His commandments for length of days and long life and peace shall He add to us.

Proverbs 9:1-11 says: if we will listen to God’s wisdom our days shall be multiplied and the years of our life shall be increased.

So it is very clear from God’s Word that the length of our lives depends upon our choices to obey God’s laws or not.

Just as we can Prolong our Days we can also Shorten our Days.

Psalms 55:23 says: But thou, O God, shall bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee. This passage tells us that bloody or violent people and deceitful people WILL NOT LIVE OUT HALF THEIR DAYS. We read in Psalms Chapter 90 that many of the disobedient people of Israel were dying at 70-80 years old and this passage says bloody and deceitful people will not live out half their days so that cuts their live span to 35-40 years.

Proverbs 10:27 says: The fear of the Lord prolongs days but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

Ecclesiastes 11:11-17 says at the end of the passage Why should you die before your time ? And, of course the answer to that question is you should not die before your time and your choices will determine your lifespan.

Exercise: Everyone knows that exercise does provide some health benefits to our body such as helping us have a good blood flow, strengthens our muscles and bones, causes more oxygen to flow to our brain among other benefits.

Diet: There is a saying “You are what you eat” and there is much truth to this. God’s Word does give us guidance on eating healthy in Leviticus Chapter 11.

Vitamin Supplementation: Everyone knows the earths soil does not any longer contain the ingredients that it once had and Vitamin Supplementation is very necessary.

Our Words:Are absolutely vital to our life span. Proverbs 18:21 says: Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Words are containers and they carry Death or Life.We live in a Word Controlled Universe so we have no choice about speaking Words. However, we do have control over which type of Words we Speak. Death-filled Words will eventually shorten your life span and Life-filled Words will prolong it.

I once heard of a Minister that was going to pray for a man in the hospital. The man in the hospital was on his death bed and so it was a very critical situation. The Minister began to pray for the mans healing. God spoke to the Minister and said “do not pray for him”. To the surprise of the Minister he said to God “why not” ? God said, “this man had been saying for years that he would never live a day beyond 39 years old” and he had said this almost all of this life.God said that “he had set the laws of the spirit into motion and he was going to die”.The man died and did not reach his 40th birthday. So the Minister stopped praying. This story reveals the power of our Words ! Death and life and in the power of the tongue.

We should speak Words of life that line up with the Word of God. These are Words that God will back up and support and help us to live out all of our days.
